Volunteer

Two hours a week changes this block.

Julie Community Center runs on neighbors who show up. Whatever you're good at, there's a shift with your name on it.

Where you can help

Six ways to give your time.

Pick what fits your week — most roles take two hours and no experience at all.

Food Programs

Pack grocery bags, serve hot meals, sort rescued produce, and help neighbors carry food to the car.

Community Events

Set up, greet, staff a table, and break down at block gatherings, celebrations, and fundraisers.

Youth Programs

Tutor, mentor, read with students, or help run enrichment activities for young scholars.

Family Events

Run game and craft stations, serve dinner, and help families feel at home on Family Fun Nights.

Administrative Support

Front desk welcome, phones, data entry, mailings, and the behind-the-scenes work that keeps programs running.

Special Projects

Painting, light repairs, seasonal drives, photography, and one-time projects that fit a busy schedule.

Getting started

Here's exactly how it works.

  1. 1

Browse and sign up on POINT

Visit our POINT portal to see current opportunities, select a shift that fits your schedule, and register online.

  2. 2

    Come to a short orientation

Thirty minutes on site covering safety, the neighborhood, and how our programs run.

  3. 3

    Shadow your first shift

You'll be paired with an experienced volunteer until you feel at home.

There's a place for you here this week.

Serve a meal, tutor a scholar, sponsor a program, or just walk through the door and say hello.
